Madden NFL 27 Player Ratings and Team Ratings
The complete Madden NFL 27 launch ratings are now available on MaddenRatings.net. This page brings together the initial player ratings, team ratings, and key information from the launch version of Madden NFL 27.
Madden ratings are more than just a number next to a player's name. They provide an interesting snapshot of how the NFL is represented in the game at the beginning of the 2026 season. Every year, ratings create debates about which players deserve to move up, which veterans have fallen, and which young players are ready to become stars.
MaddenRatings.net maintains a historical collection of player and team ratings so that fans can compare the current game with previous Madden releases.
What Makes the Madden NFL 27 Ratings Interesting?
The Madden NFL 27 launch ratings feature a mixture of established stars and newer players reaching the top of the game.
The 99 Overall Club includes Matthew Stafford, Josh Allen, Ja'Marr Chase, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Trey McBride, and Myles Garrett. The
group is particularly interesting because it includes both longtime NFL stars and players who are reaching the highest level of Madden ratings for the first time.
Matthew Stafford's 99 overall rating is especially notable because it represents the highest Madden rating of his career. Meanwhile, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Trey McBride are examples of younger players who have moved into the game's elite group.
Myles Garrett also remains one of the most highly rated defensive players in Madden, while Josh Allen and Ja'Marr Chase continue to represent the elite level at their respective positions.
The Madden NFL 27 99 Club
The 99 Club is one of the most recognizable parts of Madden ratings. A 99 overall rating represents the highest possible overall rating for a player and has become an annual talking point among Madden and NFL fans.

Highest-Rated Madden NFL 27 Teams
The launch team ratings also provide an interesting look at how Madden views the NFL entering the 2026 season.
The Los Angeles Rams currently lead the database with a 90 overall rating. The Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles follow at 88 overall, while the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos are both rated 87 overall.

These team ratings can be useful when comparing rosters, but they also provide an interesting starting point for tracking how team ratings change throughout the Madden season.
Madden NFL 27 Player Ratings Database
The complete Madden NFL 27 launch database contains player overall ratings as well as individual attributes. Use the database to search for individual players, compare ratings, and explore how players from different teams and positions are rated.
Individual attributes can sometimes tell a different story than overall ratings. A player might not have an elite overall rating but could still possess an exceptional speed, strength, throwing power, catching, acceleration, or other individual attribute.
That is one reason we preserve the individual ratings rather than only recording overall player ratings.
Madden Ratings History
One of the main purposes of MaddenRatings.net is preserving the history of video game player ratings.
The Madden franchise has changed dramatically over the years, and player ratings have changed along with it. A player's rating can rise as he develops, peak during his best seasons, and decline as his career progresses.
Madden NFL 27 is therefore not just another ratings release. It becomes another piece of the historical record.
MaddenRatings.net maintains ratings from Madden NFL games dating back to Madden NFL 98, allowing fans to look back at how players and teams were rated across different eras of the franchise.
Want to see how a player's rating has changed?
Use the MaddenRatings.net historical player database to compare ratings across different Madden releases. Historical player pages can show how a player's overall rating changed throughout his career, providing a unique way to look at both Madden history and NFL history.
For longtime players, these comparisons can be particularly interesting because they show the progression from young prospect to established star and eventually veteran.
